Pakistan VPS Plan Range and Pricing
The Pakistan VPS range has six plans, priced from US$22.95 to US$199.95 per month. They share a common base and differ mainly in compute, memory and traffic:
- CPU: from 1 core on the entry plan up to 16 cores on the largest.
- Memory: from 2 GB up to 32 GB of RAM.
- Storage: 50 GB of NVMe SSD on every plan.
- Traffic: from 1000 GB up to 6000 GB per month.
- Port: from 100 Mbps up to dedicated bandwidth.
- Operating system: Linux or Windows at the same price.
- Location: Karachi or Islamabad, Tier III datacenter.
The plans table on this page lists each tier with its current price and order button. Because storage is the same across the range, the upgrade decision is about CPU, RAM and traffic. If your project needs a lot of disk, such as large media archives or backups of many sites, look at the Islamabad dedicated servers, which offer combinations of SSD, NVMe and large HDDs.
Sizing CPU and RAM for Pakistani Workloads
Picking the right plan starts with an honest look at what the server will do. Over-sizing wastes money every month; under-sizing produces slow pages and out-of-memory errors at the worst moment, often during a sale or an exam result announcement.
Entry plans: 1 to 2 cores, 2 to 4 GB RAM
These suit a single business website, a small WordPress blog, a freelancer's staging server, a VPN endpoint or a lightweight API. A Linux server with Nginx, PHP-FPM and MariaDB runs comfortably in 2 GB for modest traffic. Windows needs more memory for the operating system itself, so start at the 4 GB tier if you plan to run Windows with IIS or SQL Server Express.
Middle plans: 4 to 8 cores, 8 to 16 GB RAM
Choose these for online stores with real order volume, several client websites on one control panel, a school or college portal, or a CRM used by a few dozen staff. The extra cores let PHP workers, background jobs and the database run in parallel.
Upper plans: 8 to 16 cores, 32 GB RAM
The largest tiers fit ERP systems, busy marketplaces, analytics jobs, CI runners for software export teams and container hosts running many services. If you need more than 16 cores or extra disk, compare the dedicated servers in Islamabad.
Picking Karachi or Islamabad for Your Virtual Server
You choose the datacenter city when you order. Both are Tier III facilities, so the decision is mostly about where your users and integrations are.
Karachi is the better default for international reach. The SEA-ME-WE 6 and PEACE submarine cables land on the Karachi coast, so a VPS there sits close to Pakistan's main exits towards the Gulf, Europe, Africa and Asia. Pick Karachi for e-commerce aimed at Sindh and southern Pakistan, export software projects with overseas clients, and apps that depend on APIs hosted abroad.
Islamabad suits audiences in the capital territory, Rawalpindi, northern Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. It is also where our dedicated servers sit, which makes it convenient if you plan to connect a VPS with a dedicated database server later.
For resilience, some customers run production in one city and keep a second, smaller VPS in the other for backups, staging or a standby copy of the site. Since both cities use the same plans and pricing, that split is easy to set up.
Linux Distributions or Windows Server on a Pakistani VPS
Because Linux and Windows cost the same on our Pakistan VPS plans, you can choose purely on technical grounds.
When Linux is the right call
Linux is the natural choice for PHP, Python, Node.js, Go and Ruby applications, for WordPress and other CMS platforms, and for Docker-based deployments. It uses less memory than Windows, so the same plan leaves more RAM for your application. Common choices include Ubuntu LTS and Debian for general use and AlmaLinux or Rocky Linux when you need compatibility with control panels built for the Red Hat family.
When Windows makes more sense
Choose Windows for ASP.NET applications, MSSQL databases, desktop software that must run on a server, and tools used by accounting or logistics teams that only exist for Windows. You connect over Remote Desktop and manage the server with familiar tools. If you only need a remote Windows desktop rather than a server running services, the Karachi RDP packages may be a better fit.
Changing your mind later is possible by reinstalling the operating system, but plan for it: a reinstall wipes the disk, so back up first.
Latency from Pakistan to the Gulf, India and Central Asia
Hosting inside Pakistan gives the shortest network path to Pakistani users, but many projects also serve neighbouring regions. It helps to understand how a server in Karachi or Islamabad relates to them.
- Gulf states: Pakistan has a large diaspora in the UAE, Saudi Arabia and the wider Gulf. Karachi's submarine cable links run towards the Middle East, which makes Karachi the sensible location when a site serves both Pakistani users at home and family members working abroad.
- Europe and the UK: SEA-ME-WE 6 and PEACE connect onwards towards Europe, useful for exporters with British or European clients who need to reach staging servers and demos.
- East Africa and Asia: The same cable systems also reach towards Africa and Asia, extending reach for trading and sourcing businesses.
Actual round-trip times depend on routing between networks, which no host controls end to end. The practical approach is to test: order a server, run ping and traceroute tests from the locations that matter to you, and compare. If most visitors are abroad and only a minority in Pakistan, a server closer to the majority may be the better choice, with Pakistan hosting kept for local services.
Hardening a New Pakistan VPS Before Launch
A VPS with full root access is powerful, and it is also your responsibility to secure. Automated scanners find new servers within minutes of going online, so complete these steps before you deploy anything public.
- Update everything. Run the package manager or Windows Update and reboot if the kernel or system files changed.
- Use keys, not passwords. On Linux, add your SSH public key, then disable password logins and direct root login. On Windows, set a long unique administrator password and consider changing the default Remote Desktop exposure with a firewall rule limited to your own IP addresses.
- Enable a firewall. Allow only the ports you need, typically SSH or RDP, HTTP and HTTPS. Close database ports to the public internet.
- Add brute-force protection. Tools such as Fail2ban block addresses that repeatedly fail to log in.
- Create a non-root user for daily work and use sudo for administrative tasks.
- Turn on automatic security updates for the operating system, and keep application frameworks patched.
- Set up backups to a second location, such as a VPS in the other city or external storage, and test a restore.
Ten minutes spent here prevents most of the incidents we see on newly deployed servers.
Scaling Your VPS as Traffic from Pakistan Grows
Growth rarely arrives evenly. A campaign, a viral post or a seasonal event such as Eid shopping can multiply traffic overnight. Plan your scaling path before you need it.
Vertical scaling
The simplest step is moving to a larger plan with more cores, RAM and traffic. Open a sales or technical ticket to discuss upgrading, and schedule changes outside your peak hours in Pakistan Standard Time.
Tuning before upgrading
Often the cheaper fix is optimisation. Add page caching and object caching, enable compression, serve images in modern formats, and index slow database queries. A well-tuned site on a middle plan frequently outperforms an untuned site on a larger one.
Horizontal scaling
For larger systems, split roles across servers: a web server in Karachi, a database server on a separate VPS or an Islamabad dedicated machine, and a staging server for testing. This keeps heavy reports or backups from slowing down the public site and gives you room to add capacity piece by piece.
Moving a Site or App to a Pakistani VPS
Many customers come to us from shared hosting or from servers abroad. A careful migration avoids downtime and lost emails.
- Inventory the old setup: software versions, databases, cron jobs, email accounts, SSL certificates and DNS records.
- Lower DNS TTL on your domain a day before the move, so the change propagates quickly.
- Build the new server with matching software versions and security settings.
- Copy files and databases using rsync, a control panel transfer tool or database dumps.
- Test using a hosts-file entry so you can check the site on the new server before the public sees it.
- Do a final sync of anything that changed, then update DNS to the new IP address.
- Keep the old server running for a few days while DNS propagates and confirm email delivery.
If you are moving from a server outside Pakistan, check outbound API calls, payment callbacks and allowed-IP lists at third-party services, since your server's address will change.
Common Uses for a Virtual Server in Pakistan
Customers run a wide range of workloads on Pakistan VPS plans. Some of the most common include:
- Online stores selling to Pakistani buyers, where fast checkout and quick communication with local payment gateways and couriers matter.
- Agency hosting for web designers in Lahore, Karachi and Islamabad who manage many client sites through one control panel.
- Development and staging environments for software exporters, including Git servers, CI runners and demo instances for overseas clients.
- Business applications such as ERP, CRM, HR and inventory systems used across branches.
- Education portals for schools, academies and training providers, including learning management systems with Urdu and English content.
- VPN and proxy endpoints that give remote staff a fixed Pakistani IP address for accessing restricted business systems.
- Game servers and bots for local communities that want low delay for Pakistani players.
Serving Urdu and English Content from a Local Server
Many Pakistani sites publish in both Urdu and English, which brings a few practical hosting considerations. Make sure your database and application use UTF-8 (utf8mb4 in MySQL and MariaDB) so Urdu script is stored and displayed correctly, including in search and URLs. Nastaliq web fonts can be large, so serve them from your own server with compression and long cache headers, and subset them where possible.
Bilingual sites often double the number of pages and images, which increases cache size and database load. NVMe storage helps here, and the extra RAM on middle plans lets object caches hold both language versions. If you use separate subdomains or paths for each language, set hreflang tags so search engines show the right version to each reader. Hosting in Pakistan keeps both versions quick for local readers on mobile networks.
Ordering and Managing a Pakistan VPS
Choose a plan from the table, select Karachi or Islamabad and your operating system, and complete checkout. Payment methods include crypto, Visa, Mastercard, PayPal and bank transfer. Your VPS is provisioned within 3 to 24 hours and the login details are sent once it is ready.
